Happy New Year! 2018 is time for SSL on your website!

Facebook Google Plus Linked In

You have seen and heard about SSL. You have used https websites from banks, Google and many other websites. Isn't it time you got an SSL certificate for your website too?

What is SSL?

It stands for Secure Socket Layer. It encrypts the data transferred between your website and the website user's computer. This means that the data cannot be viewed if intercepted. So, your website users don't have to worry about their information being comprimised!

So what's TLS?

TLS is the new, updated version of SSL with stronger encryption. It has a higher bit length and is more secure. 4 years ago an exploit was discovered in SSL and a malware was written for the exploit called Heartbleed. Since then, TLS has taken over as the new encryption standard and isn't vulnerable to Heartbleed.

How does Webenergy fit in all this?
